Weekend

On Saturday we decided to go check out Oak Mountain State Park. It is about 15- 20 min from our house. We had heard they had a lake, paddle boats, camping, a petting zoo, horse back riding etc. It was HOT and the kids wanted to play in the water, so when we got there we rented a paddle boat and then let the kids play in the lake. I gave the kids the camera to take some pics- so most of these are what they took!

It was a lot of fun! Damon could play there all day if we'd let him! Now I know a place to take him while the kids are in school and I can get some sun! =) I really need to take advantage of it since just a few short months and my baby will be in full day school too!!

Here is a little video of the paddle boat- Jaymz had just splashed water in my face- that's why I keep wiping it!

While we were letting the kids swim I looked over to the right of us and there was a WEDDING going on! We had boom boxes thumping, kids screaming and a WEDDING! I was DYING! When the bride and groom kissed everyone started clapping- even people not in the wedding party! I think that is what you call Ghetto- fabulous! I keep having to tell myself we are in Alabama= what esle would you expect? James took a couple of pics of the happy couple! =)

That wedding is killing me! Bet you didn't think you would be joining in on a wedding when you went there huh?! Are the people sitting down on the beach towels just spectators? LOL!! What a fun place!! It is really beautiful. I love Aubrey's swim suit!

Looks like a great day! I noticed tht you lightened your hair too, Shan. It looks great! Perfect for those long days soaking in the sun. And yeah, I agree with you about the ghetto wedding. If you want to get married on a beach or lake somewhere, you'd think you'd at least reserve a section of it specifically for the wedding instead of having it merge with all the rest of the people there. Too funny.

Shannon,
Dave's parents are going on a mission, and I was going to have a baby so I started a blog so they could keep up on the whole baby thing, but then I lost the baby so now I just have a blog to keep them up on what's going on with the girls.

I'm sooo excited you will be here in UT. We will for sure get together!!!

Looks like you had fun at being the wedding crashers last weekend!!! What a cool little place to hang out.

Looks like you guys like to have a good time and glad you found that place and it's so close. I'd love something like that to go to and I'd love for us to have the warm temperature you're having.
Way to participate with the wedding :) Love the hair, it looks good and am sure it's very different after being dark.
