Yup that's right! It is Tornado season again! Every time I hear a tornado siren or see they have cut in on TV to track it for us I am just amazed! James thinks I am weird to sit and watch them track it, but I just think it is so interesting! Last night there was a tornado about 20 miles from us. They never really get too close to where we live so that is nice, but you just never know! I have been told by many people that we live too high up for it to really hit us. We live on a big hill (they call it a mtn here, but I definitely wouldn't call it that!) and supposedly tornadoes don't hit high- but I don't completely trust that!!
When we first moved here I woke up one night hearing a loud noise- I woke up James and asked if he heard the noise too- James opened the window and we figured out it was outside. I had never heard that noise before and had no clue what it was. James said "I think one of our neighbors house alarms is going off" So, us being the great neighbors that we are, we hopped back into bed! lol (We had just moved in and didn't really know anyone) The next morning I saw on the news that there were tornadoes during the night and those were the SIRENS going off!!! We should have turned on the TV to see if it was close to us and what we needed to do, but we had NO CLUE!! It's funny to us now, but it could have been bad!!
Here are a couple of pics from the tornado last night- (there was a little damage to a couple of houses but nothing too big)

Maybe my mom and Jen will get to experience a Tornado Siren while they are here next week! Ü

Last week the kids were off of school for spring break. We didn't go anywhere really great unfortunately. We decided to chill out at home this year. The weather was chilly for the first few days so that wasn't fun. The kids played outside here and there but I was wishing it would just be nice and warm! Thursday I took the kids to the roller skating rink. Damon was so funny- he can't really skate yet, but he was determined to get around the rink! An older guy (I think he was the owner) saw him trying so he stopped him and asked him if he wanted to learn to skate. After about 5 min with that man he was doing a TON better!! He made it around the rink 4 or 5 times. He was so funny- every time he fell he seriously JUMPED back up and was on his way again! I think he was a little embarrassed and didn't want anyone to see him down! Ü (I did have my camera with me, but the batteries were dead..ughh) Friday was a GREAT day! It was mid 70's and beautiful! We went to the park for a few hours! Saturday was another great day so James decided we should BBQ at the park. We invited a bunch of families to come. It was really fun and the kids all had a great time!
Since the kids don't really ever look at my blog I guess I can post this-- My mom, my sister Jen and her little girl Shaylie are coming to visit!! I am so excited! I think it will be so fun to surprise the kids so I haven't told them! It has been REALLY hard and I have ALMOST slipped a few times, but I've kept it together!!! They get in early Monday morning so when the kids get home from school they will be here!! I'm definitely going to have to get that on video!!

Plumbers Crack
Yesterday Damon was asking if he could have a plum. James told him he could. He went into the fridge and got one. After a min he came into the livingroom and said "Hey! Now I know why they call it a Plumbers Crack!" Haha we were laughing so hard! Makes sense though!

PiLlOwS~~
Aubrey has been making pillows like a maniac! She LOVES to sew! They are doing pillows in her sewing class and since she is so fast (she's had some practice with the sewing machine she got for Christmas) she is on her 3rd pillow! They have turned out really cute I think!
