Rain/ My B-day

Today was a rainy yucky day. We were under severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings all day. Damon wanted to go play out in the rain, so when it calmed down a little I let him go out for a min. I was standing at the front door watching him. A car came down the road so he started waving. When they got closer I noticed it was a high school aged kid. They just drove past and didn't wave. He looked back at me and said " WELL SOMEONE HAS AN ATTITUDE PROBLEM"!! It was the funniest thing!

My friends took me out to lunch today for my birthday (which is on Sunday) We went to Olive Garden. James worked from home today so he could watch Damon for me so I could really have an OUT! Thank You Babe!! =) We had a really good time. They got me some awesome stuff too! THANKS GUYS!! =)


James invited a bunch of people over for dinner Sunday night (SURPRISE SURPRISE) So we went and got the groceries we need so he can get started! Tomorrow is a crazy busy day so he wanted to get a head start. We are in Church until noon, so he will only have about 3-4 hours on Sunday to get it done! Sounds like ALOT of work to me!! Thankfully he loves to cook and host get togethers!!! I'll try to remember to take some pics!

I had forgotten that down here in the south MARDI GRAS is big! They had a parade tonight just down the road from our house so we met some friends from church there. The kids had so much fun! The got a TON of necklaces and some candy! Damon thought it was great!! The unicycle club from Jaymz school was in it and some of his friends were riding in it. When they came past us they were all saying hi and throwing stuff at him- he though that was GREAT!! :)
It was a fun little outing!

Valentines weekend

We had a good LONG weekend! On Friday night we went to a social/dance at our church. There was babysitting provided there so we asked the kids if they wanted to stay home or go and they decided they wanted to go hang out with all the kids there. By the end of the night, all the kids ended up coming onto the dance floor! They had so much fun! We ended up bringing Aubrey's friend home with us for a sleep over. The next morning they had a "restaurant" all set up. They made whatever anyone wanted for breakfast! They had a lot of fun!

Every year we get the kids a stuffed animal for Valentines Day. Not that they NEED any more, but they get so excited about it and talk about what they will be getting weeks before! It is something they really look forward to!

Later that night James and I went out to dinner with our neighbors and some of their family. We went to this little Italian restaurant in Birmingham. It was really good! We had a great night!


I had been wanting a BIG clock and mirror for my living room, so James surprised me with that for Valentines Day!! I LOVE them!!!


Sunday night Jaymz slept over at Ryans (his friend from church) since there was no school on Monday.

Monday James invited a bunch of people over. He cooked Fajitas and they were SO good! He smokes them on the BBQ grill and they turn out so good!! Aubrey helped him all day get things ready! She made the 7 layer dip! She was SO proud! It was really good too!! :)

We had a good, fun, long weekend!!!

Aubrey's Pillows

Aubrey has been taking Home Economics and is LOVING it! They did foods first- the made pizza, and cookies- oh and don't forget kool-aid! She thought that was so fun! Then they started sewing. She had to make a pillow. They had to stitch a picture on the front and then pick out what back they wanted. She finished the first one in like 2 days, so she decided to make another one. She finished that one in a day so she made another one!! She LOVES making them now. She said she wanted to make a pillow company!! She is so good at crafty things! Im terrible so I can not help her- luckily she doesn't need the help!! :) Here are the pillows she made.

Damons Soccer

I signed Damon up for a soccer class- I figured it would be a fun thing for him to get out of the house and use up some energy! He was SO excited to go today!! He had alot of fun! His coaches name is Coach Rob- I told him that on the way there. When we got there, the coach introduced himself to the kids and said they could call him coach Rob. The whole time Damon kept calling him coach robert- on the way home I said Damon your coaches name is coach ROB he hat there for a min and then said Why does he ROB people?? It was so funny! He is always cracking me up!!
