New Do

So I decided to TRY it again and see if I could find someone out here to cut my hair the way I wanted it! You may remember last time was a HUGE disaster! I was in tears every time I looked in the mirror for a couple of weeks! I'm happy to say I found her! YAY! I was so nervous but I think she did a good job! She had to go a little shorter than I wanted because the job before was so horrible but she came real close to what I was picturing! I decided to go darker again since I really do like it better darker! It's almost fall right? As much as James would LOVE me to go platinum blond~ sorry babe it's just not going to happen! Here are the best pics I could take-- doing it myself!




Damon wanted to get in on the picture taking so here is one with him! He is LOVING being the only kid home again! I don't think he misses Aubrey and Jaymz at all during the day!

1st Day Of School~~ FINALLY!

YAY! Today is the first day of school! The kids were nervous about going back, but they were excited at the same time! We had a meet and greet for Aubrey last night. Her teacher seems really nice! Aubrey knew a few kids in her class so that is good too! She is taller that her teacher by quite a bit! I'm sure this is just the first of many teachers she will be taller than ~even some guy teachers!!




Aubrey and Jaymz bus both stop at our house for them again this year. That is so nice not to have to run them out to the bus stop! Aubrey's comes at 7:45 and Jaymz at 8:00 so it's not too bad.






And then there is Damon- He crawled into our bed about 6:00 this morning and that is where he still is! He is a sleeper! Maybe if I'm quiet I can get another hour before he wakes up!! I'm sure he is going to miss having the kids home all day- OR maybe he won't!! :)

Im too sexy for my....

It took me a while to realize today that James wasn't in his normal work clothes today! Just as he was getting ready to leave I noticed that he was wearing basketball shoes and then it hit me! Since it is "back to school" time and that is a really busy time for Foot Locker, when he visits his stores he will wear the stripes and help them out! I think he misses it a little bit so he was excited to get in there and help a little today! Aubrey and Jaymz didn't notice either! He wore those stripes for so many years that it just seemed normal- even though it has been a year since he was in a store and wore them everyday! I just had to take a pic of him for old time sake!! :) I know Im dumb!!





Jaymz teacher at church made him this t shirt since he passed off all his articles of faith and 10 commandments. I thought that was really nice of her!



Tomorrow is the kids first day of school!! YAHOO! I am so ready for them to go back! We have had a good summer but I am ready to get back to some sort of routine! Aubrey has to get on the bus at 7:45 and Jaymz at 8:00 so then Damon and I will be on our own again! :) Damon will be doing preschool again this year so that will be good for him!

BOYS will be BOYS

I came downstairs and saw this today- WHY do boys think this stuff is fun? Damon thought it was the GREATEST thing in the world to be tied up on the island!! Watching him try to get out was pretty funny though! I remember my dad tying my brothers up and making it a game to see who could get out the fastest! I just don't get the FUN in it!! BOYS!!!



Damon has been all over the CD's lately! He puts them into the portable dvd player and listens to them all the time! I woke up to him singing to the CD this morning! I think it is so funny! They gave us a cd at church of songs to be practicing for the upcoming program so Damon has been listening to that too! I think it is pretty cute!!

Makeover

Saturday night we had some friends over for dinner. We hadn't seen or heard Damon in a while so we started looking for him. James found him upstairs in the bathroom with the door locked. He had their little boy with him that is 2. J told him to open the door and when he did this is what he saw



Apparently Damon was giving Dallin a makeover. We thought it was kind of funny until we realized he hadn't used make up- it was FINGERNAIL POLISH! He also had all kinds of stuff in his hair like shampoo, cleaner, gel, etc. His fingernails and toenails were painted too! We looked online to see how to take fingernail polish off skin without using remover. It said to soak in a warm bath for 15-20 min. We saw them at church the next day and it was off thankfully!!

Puberty at 4???

So I was folding laundry and I noticed this HUGE goose egg right in the middle of Damons forehead. I said "dang Damon what happened to your head"? He said (with the most serious face) "Mom- it's a pimple"!! I seriously couldn't stop laughing! I hope that's not a sign of what his pimples will look like! And how does he even know the word pimple? He cracks me up!!! I guess I will have to watch it because I think it might be a bug bite!

MAINE!!!

Sorry- this is going to be a long post-- I have tons of pics this time!
James had to go to a couple of his stores in Maine this week so we decided to make it a little family vacation! He had to drive up there anyway and get a hotel- why not tag along!! So we left on Tuesday morning. We dropped James off in Portland and then drove back about an hour to meet some friends at Ogunquit Beach.








It was overcast and looked like it was going to rain at any moment. Also it was getting high tide and it kind of kicked us off the beach so we decided to call it a day- while we were waiting for James- we found a Chuck E Cheese so Damon was ALL OVER that!!



After that we went to the Hotel and just hung out for the night!



Wednesday we drove to Bangor. (about 2 hours) We dropped James off and I took the kids to the Childrens Discovery Museum that they have there in Bangor. It was 3 floors of everything you could think of! The kids had a really good time! We spent about two and a half hours there!






















After that the kids had some money that was burning a hole in their pockets so we headed back to the mall so they could each pick out a build-a-bear!

On our drive home we thought it would be fun to take the "Coastal Route" not realizing that you can't really see the coast. You are driving along it, but there are so many trees and stuff that you don't get a great view of the Ocean. So needless to say after the extra 4 hours we decided to stop at Old Orchard Beach in Maine and let the kids play! They have an amusement park on the beach!!
