ALMOST HERE

Well it is almost time for the big move! Wed - Fri the movers will be here to pack and load the house. I have a cold or allergies or something so that hasn't been fun trying to get things organized not feeling well. James has a comference in NY this week so I am here trying to get it all together. I think I am as ready as I am going to be though. They are coming to take our cars today. They say it will take them 10 days to get the cars there. Our friends are having a going away openhouse on Sat. so that should be fun! We have the best friends here! That is the thing we will miss the most Im sure! Jaymz has earned his Bear in cub scouts and hasn't received it yet, so they are going to give it to him on Sat. He is really excited about that!

Well it's official.....

We are moving! James was offered the Birmingham Alabama District!! We are excited for another adventure but sad to leave all of our great friends here! James went out Tuesday and he says it is really nice. We have found a house already and will be moving NEXT WEEK! I talked to the bishop of the church out there and he said there are a ton of kids and youth in their ward so that will be great for the kids!
The winters are very mild there so we are hoping that my Rheumatoid Arthritis will calm down a bit, and that maybe I can take less medication or none at all at some point!
It is going to be such a quick move- I guess that is good though~ less time to think about it all! I will try to keep you posted on what is happening!!

SHOES

Our Friend Jessica (the one who did our family pictures) has been talking to James about doing some photo shoots with all his shoes and then make a coffee table book with the pictures and the story or inspiration behind the making of the shoe. (I never knew there was even a reason behind some shoes)?? She is a graphic design artist and has done tons of book layouts so he figured that sounded like fun! He went last night with ALL his babies (shoes) and they took a bunch of pictures! He was VERY disappointed at himself when he realized he only had 65 pair. (He has given a few pair away) He said his goal is to get 300 more- He is going to have a whole master bedroom to himself if he gets that crazy! I guess Foot Locker won't be going out of business for a real long time!! :)

Damons new friends

James took a week vacation this week- we aren't really doing anything, but there are a few things we need to get done around the house so we decided this would be a good week to do them! The first thing was to empty out the pool and take it down. Our poor pool was neglected so it was really NASTY! We caught 10 frogs living in our pool! (I guess at leat someody got some use out of it)!! Damon was thrilled though! He LOVES catching bugs and frogs and lizards and all that good stuff! We'll see if we can keep them alive to show Jaymz and Aubrey when they get home from school!

Family Pics

I asked my friend Jessica to take our picture since it has been a while since we have done a family pic. It's so hard to get everyone looking and smiling (especially my husband who won't smile in pictures) It was really shaded because of all the trees but she did an awesome job! THANKS JESS!!!

My little girl that's not so little anymore

I love watching Aubrey grow older! She is so funny, such a ditz, and a lot of fun to be around (most of the time) She is also such a good helper! If I need something cleaned or someone to watch Damon she will do it and do a really good job! I love to watch her gain her own sense of style! It cracks me up! It always takes me back to when I was in 6th or 7th grade and what I was doing or liked compared to what she is doing and likes! It's funny how most things are still the same!!




She was being funny this morning so I couldn't get a great shot but I love the whole 80's outfit with the skater shoes- oh and don't forget the skull on the backpack!! :)

The only one home again

Damon is LOVING being the only kid home again! He has slept in until 10:00 everyday the kids have been gone to school. (I even put him to bed when they go to bed) He just lounges around for a while! It is SO nice to be able to get a few things done in the morning w/out him needing something!!



This morning I noticed that something had gotten in our trash that we put out last night. We don't have the nice tall trash cans that they city gives you- You go take your trash to the dump yourself, or you can hire someone to do it for you. Since we don't have a trailer and I really don't want our trash in the back of my van, we decided to have someone come get it. Anyway- Jaymz went outside to pick it up for me. When he came in he said Mom- It was a raccoon that got in the trash I saw its footprints. I'm glad it was able to get into our trash though because since it is an endangered species that was good it could get some of our food so it won't die! I had to really keep from laughing at him! I told him they weren't endangered but I don't think he believed me!

Labor Day

I really wanted to go to the beach this weekend one last time before it starts getting too cold, but that didn't happen. Monday morning James, Aubrey and Jaymz got up early and went fishing. There is a lake 2 min from our house that they like to fish in. When they came home, we got ready and did a little shopping. We invited some friends over for a bbq. On sunday, James was talking to the missionaries at church and found out that they didn't have dinner plans for Monday, so he invited them over too! They are SO awesome so we were glad to have them over too!!
