Well tonight was the Pinewood Derby for Cub Scouts. Jaymz did pretty well! We didn't have the tools to cut the car, so we took the easy way out and went to the store and bought a pre-cut one. They said that was fine as long as it was the right pinewood car. So Jaymz painted it and got it all "cool" then they put the wheels on it and added some weights and we were good to go. WELL- not as easy as we thought-- when we got to the church, they told us that the wheels we had were illegal!! So someone found us some fight wheels and we had to switch them out. That would have been fine, but the axles were different so the good wheels didn't really fit. James glue gunned the axel in and after a rough time getting it to work we ended up with a car that would go! It had 3 yellow tires and 1 black one, but that made it flashy-- right?
James ended up doing better than I thought he would- he won 3 and lost 3 races. He had a good time and we learned something so I guess that is what matters!! Damon had a great time with his little friends Max and McKay!
Aubrey was bored yesterday and decided to make some cookies from a mix I had. The boys decided to get into the action too! 
On Saturday Aubrey went Ice Skating with the girls at church for activity days. She had a good time except she said she felt so weird on the ice because that made her even TALLER than everyone!! 
Last night the Young Women had New Beginnings at the church. They invited the girls that will be 12 this year and moving up to Young Women. They did a spotlight on the girls- (there are only 2- Aubrey and her friend Bayley) They made a poster of the things Aubrey likes and things that describe her. They also played a slide show of all the activities they did the previous year. Aubrey is SO excited to be able to be in the Young Women. She has been counting down since I was a leader a couple of years ago!! She has to wait for her b-day in July, but she gets to go to girls camp in June so that is exciting!! I can't believe she is that old already!!!! Sheesh!
We had a fun weekend just hanging out! Aubrey is feeling better now and so far no one else has gotten it which is amazing!! Aubrey had her friend from church Bayley sleep over so we made a fire in the fire pit and roasted starbursts, marshmallows and made s'mores. The kids always love doing that! 
Monday James cooked Filipino food. He invited 4 or 5 families over. It was SO yummy and we had a good time. (I had to use a different pic I had since I forgot to take pictures)
Today I watched my friends little girl Tally for a couple of hours- Damon LOVED it! He always surprises me and is so cute with little kids! 
Aubrey has had a cough since mid December. It seems like every time I take the kids to the Dr for a cough they send me home and say we just need to wait it out and there is nothing they can do about it. So, we have been waiting it out. She feels fine, she just has a croupy cough. So yesterday she came home from school and said that her stomach has been hurting a little bit, and her throat hurts off and on. Later that night she was telling me how it was killing her to change into her PE clothes. She had scraped her arm on Saturday and it was really sore. I didn't think much of it.
So this morning she came upstairs after getting ready for school, and she said her stomach was hurting a little. My sister in law LeAnn (in Florida) had called last week and said she had strep. Since we were just there she wanted me to know so I could keep an eye on my kids. So I told Aubrey she could have strep and maybe we should go to the Dr. She HATES to miss school so she really didn't want to stay home. I was kind of just playing it by ear and then she started complaining about her arm again. I said lets see it- Holy Cow!! It was huge swollen and red. I hadn't really paid much attention to is before now- I guess I should have. So I said maybe we should go to the Dr and have him check your arm and your throat. I really wondered if she had sprained or even broken her arm.
So... I took her to the Dr and now I feel like such a jerk of a mom!! She has Strep, bronchitis and a staph infection!!!! Geeze!! So she is on 3 different antibiotics now and can't go to school until at least Thursday! Her school had sent a note home last monday saying that there were a few cases of staff infections going around and to be careful and not share PE towels and stuff.
Hopefully we can get all her problems taken care of soon! The Dr said that if her arm doesn't look any better in the next day or so then we need to take her back in so he can cut open her scab and drain the infection- She really doesn't want that so we are praying that the antibiotic will take care of it!!! :)

On New Years Day we slept in and were lazy for the morning. We decided to go to Emerson Point and walk around. It looked like something from Tarzan- or the Rain Forest Cafe! It was really cool. There are a TON of trails you can go exploring! Jaymz even found a coconut!
After we were done there, it was time to pick up LeAnn,Krista,Hannah and Brayden up from the airport! The kids were so happy to see them! I heard Aubrey and Hannah talking and laughing still at 1:30 AM!!! Damon and Brayden tried to sleep in Braydens room together, but at 1:00 AM I went and got Damon and made him sleep with us because he and Brayden were having too much fun talking and playing!! :)

I'm trying to be really good and blog as we go so I don't get home and just throw some pics together. We had a fun day yesterday! The kids went out with TiAnna to take the dog on a walk and saw a baby alligator.(wish we had a pic of that- I'm working on getting one though!) They thought that was SO cool! We went to the mall and did some shopping and then hit the outlet mall too! 
James old boss and his wife invited us to a New Years Eve Party that they were going to with a bunch of people from church. It was really fun! There were a TON of kids there! It was outside since the weather was great! They had a ping pong table going, a blow up castle, a trampoline, a huge hammock, a PS2 on a big screen, a live DJ (which was John- James boss) and TONS of food!! The kids made some friends and played the whole night! We were laughing at the big orange tree in their yard! 
LeAnn and the other kids will be home this afternoon. The kids are so excited to see their cousins! We are going to go to the beach tomorrow I think.
