sUmMeR~~

For the past week or so we have had rain almost every afternoon or evening. It would be kind of nice if it cooled things down, but it really just makes it more humid and nasty! The kids had fun on Saturday playing in it though!

James got a new grill a couple of weeks ago- he has been dying to use it, so on Saturday he "cured" it so he could use it on Sunday! I'm starting to think I need to say I have 4 kids, because he has been treating it like he has a new baby!! Ü
I'm glad he loves his new grill- we definitely benefit from it too!!

Tannehill Historical State Park

We hadn't been to Tannehill State Park so we decided to go check it out a couple of days ago. It was really pretty! We went into the Iron and Steel museum and then walked over to the Slave Cemetery. It was a mile hike up to the cemetery and James mom didn't really want to walk that far so I stayed back with her. It was nice just to sit and take a little break!! James and the boys and Grandpa went for it! (Aubrey was at girls camp) James was a little disappointed at the "cemetery". It was just some rocks scattered all over-- no names or dates or anything telling about the slaves. I guess that was how it was back then for them though. Damon made the whole 2 mile round trip hike! It was a nice HOT afternoon!!!

James Family's Visit

James family came to visit us! His brother Stephen and his wife Rachel and their little boy (Isaiah) Zay Zay then his sister Ashley and his mom and dad all came! The kids had SO much fun with Zay! We had lots of food and fun! We stayed up late playing games almost every night! JAmes parents are here for another week but eveyone else is gone now. We had a great time with everyone and are glad they came to the good ol south!! Ü
One day we went to the Civil Rights museum. It was really interesting and sad- They don't allow cameras inside but we took some outside.
