Parent Prom

The youth from church put on a parent prom for all the adults last night. They had babysitting for the kids and it was a disco theme- we decided not to dress up but it was fun! After a while the kids came in to dance for a minute- Damon and his friend Xander had a dance off- it was really cute! We had a fun night! The pictures didn't turn out since it was dark so we had Aubrey take a picture of us when we got home. Not the greatest picture of us but oh well.

Mmorial Day

We had a great Memorial Day today! We invited a few friends over. James barbequed, the kids played and had a good time. We had the pool going, a game of Horse Shoes, Volleyball, Football and the Wii. It was really fun and we had GREAT weather! I think it was about 80 degrees (or alittle more)

Fathers and Sons Camping Trip

The boys went on the Fathers and Sons Camping Trip with our church on Friday night and they had a BLAST! They went to a little campground in Massachuttes. They got there around 5:00 PM - Ate dinner and had smores. They played some night games. In the morning they went rowing and hung out then they came home.

Aubrey and I went out to dinner and rented the Golden Compass and ate treats. In the morning we went to her soccer game and came home. We had a fun Girls Night! I asked her if she wished the boys would stay another night and she said NO- she said it was too quiet and boring at home with no boys!! I was a little surprised but it was cute! I guess I am not as much fun!

What a Catch!

Damon was outside playing with his bug catcher this afternoon when he came running in to show us what he had caught! I couldn't believe that he could catch a frog! He keeps letting it loose and re-catching it! He is so proud of himself!

BUSY WEEK

We have been having a lot of fun hanging out with James parents and grandma! On Thursday we just hung out and shopped a little bit. Friday we let the kids miss school and we went into Boston to the zoo. I'm not a huge zoo fan but this zoo was nice. It wasn't too big but you could see all the animals you want to see! Damon hadn't ever been to a zoo since Vegas doesn't really have one so he LOVED it!

Saturday the kids had a soccer game and then we decided that it was such a nice day that we should go to Hampton beach. The kids had fun playing football, catching crabs and playing in the water. On our way home we stopped at a buffet for dinner.

Sunday James mom cooked for a bunch of our friends- we had so much food it was crazy! We didn't do much on Monday- just a little more shopping. Today we are going to go see a couple of James stores while the kids are in school.

Waiting for Grandma and Grandpa

James parents and grandma were supposed to fly in yesterday but there was a problem with their flight so it got pushed back to today. The kids were disappointed when they got home from school and I told them the news. Since James had taken the rest of the week off he decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and get some yard work in. We have never had to take care of a yard really since we have lived in apartments and townhouses so now having a HUGE yard takes some getting used to!! I'm sure we will find plenty to do for a few more hours until they get here!!! :)

So tonight we were out back hanging out and here come waddling in our back yard 2 ducks! Damon wanted some bread to feed them, so I ran in to get bread and my camera! He was chasing them all around the yard throwing bread at them- basically harassing them you could say so they ran away! It was fun to have ducks back there though! Wouldn't get that in Vegas I'm betting!!! (betting -get it Vegas- ha ha!)

Spring Soccer

This year for Spring Soccer Aubrey and Jaymz are on the same team. It goes from Age 8-11 It is nice for us with games and practices, but they weren't so sure they wanted to be on the same team! It has been good though. The other team didn't have enough players today so they had to forfeit. We gave them a couple players so we could just play for fun. Aubrey scored 6 goals and Jaymz did really well too! He played offense and defense so he was ALL over the place today! He didn't play goalie (which is what he prefers) but it was fun to see him running the field!! They were playing a kid in Aubrey's school class so she was DYING to show him what she could do! She scored on him once and flew past him a few other times getting to the goal so she was so happy with herself!! She is SO much more competitive against boys she knows than girls! It is pretty funny!! :)

MAINE

Today we decided to go to Maine since it was the kids last day of Spring Break. James took the day off and wanted to do "something"!! So we loaded the kids up and were off. It is only about an hour to an hour and a half to Maine and it is so pretty! James has been there since a couple of his stores are there but the kids and I have never gone. I was excited to see a lighthouse! Today wasn't the greatest day to go to the beach since it was about 50 degrees but of course that didn't stop the kids from trying out the water! After about 10 min of the FREEZING water they were done! They had a BLAST though!!
