Class Pool Party

A girl from Jaymz school class invited everyone and their families to her house today for a pool party/BBQ! Jaymz was so excited to go hang out with his friends from school one more time! Their teacher even showed up for a couple of hours! They had so much fun playing! Aubrey even had a couple friends from school there (their brother was in Jaymz class) We ended up staying for about 5 hours! Everyone just sat around and visited while the kids swam and played! It was pretty fun! Today was about 85 degrees and SUPER HUMID! I am still trying to get used to the humidity! I think I definitely like the Vegas heat better than the NASTY humidity!!!









They were so worn out that within 30 min they were all OUT! That is pretty rare around here!! :)

We were downstairs and James noticed that the foam on his work out machine was torn up.
James: Aubrey and Jaymz, what happened to this?
Aubrey and Jaymz: I don't know
James: Damon come here! What happened to this?
Damon: Um...
Damon: Ok dad, Im going to tell you the truth.. OK? (with a serious face and his arm straight out like stop)
Damon: well... I was watching tv and I got a little hungry so i ate it.
James: You got hungry?
Damon: See dad, I told you I would tell the truth! See dad!

SUMMER BREAK

Well it is FINALLY summer break for us- it seemed like a really LONG school year, but now I get the feeling summer will feel LONG! I really need to plan some good activities for the kids! We are planning to go to the beach at least once a week, and we are going to throw a few little fun things in like 6 flags and a waterpark so hopefully the kids (or I)won't go CRAZY!
I took the kids to the library to get some books to read this afternoon and then we went to the park. There is a big stream and a walking trail there so I let the kids play in the stream for a while! They had a blast! We will definitely be doing that again! I took pictures from my phone so it isn't the best.

Aubrey and Jaymz brought home their art portfolio's on friday and I was so impressed with them! Aubrey is really talented in Art and always has been, but Jaymz had some really good stuff too! Here are a few things they did this year:

BUSY WEEKEND

We has a busy weekend! First- Aubrey was invited to play in an all star soccer game Friday night. She was really excited to play! They played against one of the traveling teams and totally got beat, but it was fun.





Saturday morning was the kids LAST soccer game of the season!! The other team didn't show up so the kids played against the parents! I didn't play because I had flip flops on but I have NEVER seen more COMPETETIVE and AGGRESSIVE parents! The PARENTS won 5 to 2! It was so funny to watch! The all star coach from the night before was there recruiting kids to play on his team for the following game! He had a bunch of kids on vacation and didn't have enough to play. So both Aubrey and Jaymz played for him!






Damon made a friend- He does that about everywhere we go!



After that our friends Clint and Jessica Warner had a Luau so we went to their house! The kids had a blast! It was a fun party! I think they had at least 50 or 60 people (mainly from church) there!








Needless to say, the kids slept in on Sunday morning! Good thing church isn't until 1:00! :)

10 Years!

I can't believe that today James and I have been married 10 years! That seems like such a long time, but on the other hand I feel like we have been married forever! We have had such a fun and CRAZY 10 years! My life is definitely not what I thought it would be like as a kid but it is great!! We were counting last night and we have moved 9 times and lived in 4 different states in the last 10 years. It has really been great though and we have made some really good friends everywhere we have been! I feel really lucky to have a great husband that takes such good care of us! Thanks J!!!

Celtics or Lakers??

So James is a HUGE Lakers fan and I HATE the Lakers! I don't like any particular team- I just go for who ever the Lakers are playing against (mostly to make James mad- I know I'm a great wife huh!) But this NBA Finals has been a weird one for us! Since Foot Locker is a sponsor of the NBA and most of James stores are in Boston, he has sailed to one of the top districts in the company! He is torn between the Celtics (only because that will help his sales) but he loves the Lakers and wants them to win! I have been rooting for the Celtics but last game I wanted the Lakers to win so they could come back to Boston and take it!! (that just means more BONUS $ for us!!) SO... hopefully for me the Celtics will take it tonight!! :)

The Drive- In

Saturday night we decided to take the kids to the Drive-in. It was so fun! We met two other families there and the kids had a BLAST hanging out and watching the movies!
We saw Kung Fu Panda and Indiana Jones. Damon was SO excited to see Kung Fu Panda but he fell asleep within the first 15 minutes. (That was nice for the rest of us!)
Im not an Indiana Jones Fan so I didn't like the movie, but it was a good time! We are going to have to make that a monthly activity!!


 

Fathers Day

I don't know what happened yesterday, but I didn't get any pictures. I helped the kids make a treasure hunt for James to get his presents. They got up early and put the presents at each spot and then came and got him. Of course Damon had to "Help" so I think he opened all the presents! After church we came home and played outside while dinner was cooking. James found a snake by the pool so the kids had fun chasing it around the grass. (It was just a little water snake) I did manage to get a picture of that! :)
We all had a great day!

James New Toy

The owners of this house left TONS of junk in the garage and basement when we moved in. They told us that the riding lawn mower was broken and would cost more to fix than it is worth so just to take it to the junk or something. Since it has taken James about 3 hours to mow the lawn each time, he decided to see if we could really get it going. He talked to a guy at church that dose small engine repairs and he came over to see what he thought-- about 20 min later they had it up and running! He is so excited to have this riding lawn mower! It is kind of old so who knows how long it will really last but for now we'll take it!!!!! :)

Mom- Why? you just made it disgusting so I can't drink it anymore
Damon- Oh I thought it was Aubreys
Mom- Well you still shouldn't spray cleaner in ANYONES drink! It is poison and could make me sick!
Damon- Just staring at me
Mom- Do you want to make me sick?
Damon- Don't worry- Jesus will help you mom!!

Preschool graduation/party

Today was Damons preschool graduation/party! He had been looking forward to it for a while! We met at the park and the kids played, blew bubbles, had a treasure hunt, broke a piniata, and ate snacks! Damon had a blast! He thinks this means he gets to go to kindergarten now- too bad he misses the dead line and has to wait 1 more year!!! :(

I don't know why I keep trying, but I CAN NOT find a good hair stylist here in NH. I guess I have gotten lucky before having good friends that do hair so I have never had to look too hard. Im not asking for anything HARD just a cute A- Line that looks good- not too tough I'd think!!! The girl TOTALLY butched me. She just kept going shorter and shorter I was DYING! I was in TEARS for HOURS today thinking of how HORRIBLE my hair looks!! I try not to look in the mirror when I pass one! James asked me if I wanted to run to the store with him and I asked him why in the world he would want to be seen in PUBLIC with me! I am dead serious!! Hopefully it will grow QUICK!!!!! :) SO sad for me!!!
