Hair

Aubrey HATES to leave her hair down, because it gets so frizzy so last night we had some friends over and the lady gave me some tips and tricks that she uses on her hair and her daughters hair. She twisted Aubreys hair and put some stuff in it and I think it turned out cute! She can keep it down like this and it shouldn't get too "puffy" as Aubrey says! She gave me some other good Ideas to do with her hair and gave me some good conditioner and curling creme! Whe Aubrey was little and I did her hair it always looked cute (or at least I thought so) but now that hse does it and won't let me touch it-- it is always pulled back in a ponytail.. so hopefully we can do a few of the things she taught us so we can have a little variety!! End of the school year

Today was the last day of soccer for Damon. He got a little Medal to wear!





I can not believe it is the end of the school year already! Today was also the Awards ceremony at the elementary school. Jaymz got an award for the hitting the Nationals on the Presidential Physical Fitness and the Honor Roll! Good Job J!

It seems like this year has gone by so fast! The kids adjusted so well here and had great classes! They both have said they have loved it here and it might be their favorite place we've lived so far!



We are all looking forward to the summer so we can relax, sleep in, and play! There is an indoor soccer place where you can "drop in" at certain days and play a game. They have Refs there and then split up the kids and let them play! I think that will be a fun thing for the kids!

Aubrey is thinking she wants to try out for the school volleyball and basketball team next year so I'm going to look for a couple of camps for her too! And of course Jaymz is going to play football so once summer is over, we will be full force again!!

We are counting down the days until we go to UT! Every day Damon finds something else he NEEDS to pack... like another Wii game or toy! :)

a good deal??

Seriously, James has a problem when it comes to shoes! So one of his Kids Foot Locker is going out of business so they were running a huge clearance! He went in to get a FEW things and came home with 60-- YES I said 60 pairs of kids shoes!!! He can NOT pass up a deal when it comes to shoes! I think he got every shoe for $10-$15 and there was a Jordan pack of 2 pairs of shoes for $10 so it was a great deal but c'mon 60 pair of shoes!!! So, Anyone want to come school shopping at our house??

Mothers Day

I had a great Mothers Day! The kids made me some cute things and were very nice to me all day! Aubrey made me a cute little picture book with pictures of our family, her and some of just me! It is really cute! Jaymz made me a plate in school, and a garden stone with his hand print in cub scouts. They also went to the store with James and picked out a video camera for me since I didn't have one- I just used my camera! Damon was feeling a little sad on Sunday morning that he didn't make me anything so James took him in the other room and he came out with $20 for me to go shopping with! He was excited about that!!







James made pulled pork sandwiches for dinner that were so yummy! The kids did the dishes and cleaned up the house while James and I went for a walk around the neighborhood- it was such a nice day! What more could I ask for right?
I have awesome kids and a great husband!! Thanks guys!

Kindergarten Kick Off

Today was Kindergarten Kick Off! Damon was SO excited to be able to go to the school and check out the kindergarten classes! They took the kids to the classrooms for about an hour while they talked to the parents. They colored, read a book, played, and had a snack! They gave them a little chalk board with chalk and an eraser to practice their writing! When I went to go get him he was sitting so good in the lunchroom eating his snack!
Damon is such an ACTIVE boy that I am really nervous that he is going to get in trouble ALL the time! He LOVES to make people laugh and just feeds off of it! James and I are already prepared for the calls or notes home from the teacher.. or the PRINCIPAL!!! I told him if that happens he will be grounded from the Wii and the computer FOREVER-- or until he gets good reports home so hopefully that will do the trick! :)
I was thinking about it today while we were driving home and it has been 5 years that he and I have been home together all day! I keep getting this sick feeling when I think about being home without him! Not that I won't get used to it REALLY fast- Im sure I will- but I am a little sad! I was not sad for the other 2 to go so I guess it is because he is my baby!!

Do Blond's really have more fun?

Well, I took the plunge and went BLOND! I have had my hair dark for so long that I'm not sure how I feel about it yet! It has only been 1 day so I guess I need more time than that to see! I did it myself- (not sure why I put myself through that) and it totally turned orange the first time, so I tried it again- hoping it would get the orange out- I kind of feel like it is still orangish but no one else seems to think so- James has bugged me for a long time to go blond- like PLATINUM- this is just going to have to do since I died my hair TWICE in about 10 hours! I think it needs a little break! :)
