Worn Out

I had to take a picture of Damon since I bought a new camera last night, and since he never takes a nap! With all the things going on this week I guess he is just worn out! Hopefully he will be good tonight since he will be all rested up! :)

Carving pumpkins

 

Here are the pumpkins we carved tonight- The kids did their own this year. Damon drew the face on his and I carved it for him. Yes- I fixed his face a little, but he did a pretty good job drawing it on! He knew what he wanted, and that's what he did! :) James was in charge of the pumpkin seeds- that's what Im waiting for! They aren't as jigh tech as Jen and Curtis' but I think the kids did a really good job!!!

Trunk or Treat

Well tonight was our Trunk Or Treat at the church. The kids were SO excited! James boss is in town and wanted to take some of the guys out to dinner, so I had to take the kids by myself. It's weird- he's home so much more now that when he is gone I don't like it! Before he was always gone and didn't even phase me!
The kids got so much candy I don't think we need to go out on Fri! Ya right! In case you can't tell, Aubrey is a convict, Jaymz is a police officer, and Damon is a Ninja. A GOOD ninja! We have to keep telling him that so he will be nice! He is supposed to help people, not hurt them! :)

Damons Halloween Party

Today was Damons Halloween Party! He had so much fun decorating cookies, being made into a mummy out of toilet paper, collecting pretend bugs, and playing with the other kids! He loved this little baby dressed as Dumbo- it was so cute!
Im still taking pictures with my cell phone- this weekend I will have to just buy a new camera I guess! Tomorrow is Trunk Or Treat!! YAY!


 

Primary program and Halloween Party

Yesterday was the primary program at church. The kids did really good! Damon was SO good! He sat still and sang the songs! He also said his part really well! I was a little nervous on how he'd do not sitting by us! James invited a family from church over for dinner. It has been almost a month and I guess he was going through withdrawals not having anyone over!! :)

Aubrey was invited to a Halloween party on Sat. Since we are so new here, and don't know really anyone I wasn't sure if I wanted her to go. The invitation said parents welcome so I told Aubrey I would go and stay for a while. I ended up staying the whole time. A bunch of parents were there so I just stayed and visited. They had a haunted garage, scary movies, the Wii, and a bunch of food! Aubrey had a good time and it was good for me to meet some parents and some of her friends!

They are having a Halloween party for playgroup tomorrow so Damon is really excited about that!! :)

No camera still----

No, we still haven't found the camera- We borrowed our friend Shanti's camera for a little bit. I guess we will have to go get a new one. We want the same one we had and it is an older model so I guess we will have to watch ebay! I just can't figure out where it could have gone!!

Tonight is family night at Jaymz school. We get to go eat pizza, look around his classroom, and go to the book fair! He is excited!

Petting Zoo

Damon and I went to playgroup today with a bunch of ladies from church! We met at a petting zoo in the area. Damon LOVED running around and seeing all the animals! After the petting zoo, we stopped at a park with another lady and her son Mackay to let the boys play for a little bit more! Damon was so happy to have some friends! It was a beautiful day- perfect for being outside!!!

Fall colors

I thought I'd post some pics of the fall colors we are missing in New Hampshire--These were taken by our house in Merrimack.(that I took from Jessica!) :) There are a lot of trees out here, but they haven't changed color too much yet. They are starting to though. They say it has been dry here and I know that has to do with the changing of the leaves- maybe they don't change as much out here- who knows. It sure is pretty though!!!

Friday the kids got out of school at 1:00 because of Parent Teacher Conferences. I met Jaymz teacher- she is really nice! She is probably in her mid 20's. She is really cute with the kids! Aubrey's teachers didn't really have anything to meet/talk about since we are so new here, so I didn't go to hers.( I guess that's a good thing)
Saturday we took the kids to get their costumes and then went to Costco. We are still trying to fill up the pantry and fridge! It takes a little bit when you had to get rid of all the refrigerated and frozen stuff! I tried to use all the stuff in our pantry before we moved too so it would be a little easier.
Sunday is the kids Primary program at church. They gave the kids each a part so they could be involved. They have been practicing the last 2 weeks.
That's about it for the weekend. This next week should be more exciting!! Hopefully!! :)

LOST CAMERA :(

Since the kids have started their own blogs, mysteriously my camera has gotten lost! I know it is somewhere in the house, I just have to find it now!! I think I have a GREAT idea for Christmas presents!! :)
We went to church yesterday- WOW we are definitely in the south!! I LOVE the accent here though! Everyone was really nice and inviting! We found out when Cub scouts is for Jaymz and Achievement Days is for Aubrey so that will be good to get them involved! Our church building is about 20 min away. Not too bad for living outside of Utah!! When I find my camera I will post more pics! Wish me luck! :)

field trip and school spirit

Here are a few pics of Jaymz after the field trip today! He got autographs from the local weather man, and other cool people in the community.

Aubrey had her first pep rally! She thought it was fun! It was school spirit day- their colors are black and orange.

Tacky day at school & back to his old self

Yesterday was "TACKY" day at school. I guess Aubrey had Jaymz take a pic of her (I didn't think I had one) I was really surprised that she felt comfortable on the 3rd day of school to go all out! She is feeling good about school. She has made friends and basically knows where she is going now!! She had her hair in funky ponytails with different scrunchies in for school- I guess she took them out for the pic





Just when I thought Damon was getting better about things he goes and does this!! He decided I wasn't getting to his ravioli quick enough so he got it and opened it- of course dropping it all over! At least he started cleaning it up right away huh! I just have to tell myself we all have spills now and again right?? It was mostly cleaned up when I thought to take a pic- it was way worse!

Rub a dub dub

The kids have been DYING to take a bath in my tub! I let Damon take one this morning and he thought it was the greatest thing! He said "mom I know why they call this the MASTERS! Every master needs a hot tub!!!" It was so funny! I guess he heard us saying master bathroom to the movers! It makes me wonder what he was picturing in his mind!! Kids are so funny!!

I love the view out the big box window, but Im just a little nervous not having any window treatments on it- It is so high up I don't think anyone could see in, but you never know! I wouldn't want to scare any neighbors with the view in!!! :) I'll have to figure something out.

The kids had a good day at school yesterday! Aubrey was so nervous that she couldn't eat lunch. She said her cheeks were red and flushed and she was having hot flashes! If you don't know- Aubrey is an EATER!! She is starving all the time and can out eat all of us, so for her not to eat lunch is crazy!!! She said everyone was nice even all her teachers! Jaymz already has a field trip on Thursday which he is excited about.

We haven't needed a washer and dryer until now since the places we have lived already had them, so I am really excited to go get them tonight!! I never thougt I'd be excited about LAUNDRY!! We have a ton to do though so it will be nice to get that done!!! :)

Back to normal- sort of???

Well, Jaymz and Aubrey started school today!! Aubrey was really nervous! She is moving from Elementary to Middle school just like that!! She is nervous that she will forget her locker combination! She had a locker in her last school, but they didn't really use them and they didn't have a lock on them. We found out today that she has to wear a PE uniform so she was a little nervous about that too!! I felt a little bad leaving her today jsut because I could tell she was so nervous! A girl in the office asked me what grade Aubrey was going into and when I said 6th she said OH- she is tall for 6th grade! I thought you were going to say 8th! Aubrey just looked at me like oh great here we go!! :)

The school is really big, but they have it set up like 3 different schools- 6th grade, 7th grade and 8th grade. All her classes are down the same hall and that's where her locker is. I think once she gets used to it it will be fine!! I hope she makes some friends quick!!

I was going to take Jaymz this morning so I could meet his teacher, but he asked me if he could just ride the bus. He said that is the best way to make friends quick, and he would rather do that- so I let him! I took Aubrey though- her counselor wanted to meet with us for a min this morning to explain everything!!

It feels a little weird to be home just with Damon again but I'm glad we finally got the kids in school! I'm sure they will have plenty of stories to tell when they get home!!

As for me and Damon- I think we will wash my car and enjoy the beautiful weather!!

Awesome View

We have this awesome view on the main road outside of our neighborhood. We are up on this little summit and on the main road there is this cliff overlooking the city. It is a beautiful view!!!

I didn't realize that Alabama is as green as it is! We feel like we are in NH because of all the trees, but with Vegas weather right now! It is still in the 80's and the nights cool down to about 50. Im still TOTALLY loving the weather! It is so pretty and warm!!

We made it!!!

Well we made it here to Alabama! We got here late Sunday night and stayed in a hotel until Tuesday when the movers got here. We got all unpacked on Tuesday and now are trying to get things settled! I have to change the kids shot records to Alabama records before they will enroll them in school, so we are waiting on the health dept. I hope that the kids will be able to go on Monday. It seems like this is the worst part of moving!!

I have been trying to get the house together- It is a little hard since this house is alot bigger than what we have had- it has a formal living room and formal dining room so I am trying to figure out what to do until we get more furniture!! The kids love the house and their rooms so that is at least good!

There are alot of kids in the neighborhood it looks like. There is a girl right across the street that is in 6th grade just like Aubrey so that will be fun! Usually Jaymz has the friends that live close. I'm sure there are kids Jaymz and Damon's age too, we just need to find them!! Too bad it is General Conference this weekend so we don't get to meet people at church!

Anyway- Just wanted to post something so you all know we made it!!
