Last week I got a letter from Jaymz school saying his immunization card was going to be out of date as of the 23rd and he needed to go in and get it updated before the 24th or he wouldn't be allowed back to school until he was up to date. I knew Damon needed his 5 year old shots so he could start Kindergarten so I figured why not just take them both to get shots! We had the appointment on Friday- the kids were out of school for a teacher comp day (I know nice mom to make them go get shots on a day off of school huh) It ended up Jaymz couldn't get his because his records were messed up- but they gave Damon his 5 shots he needed- yes 5! He did so good! He cried for a min while they were giving them to him, but he was fine when they were done. They told him he got a sticker for each shot so he could pick out 5- well, it turned out to be like 7 or 8 really! The nurse felt bad for the poor kid!! =)
We got Jaymz figured out so yesterday we took him to get his last chicken pox shot. He asked me on the way home if Doctors give shots too- I told him I think they can, but usually nurses just give them. I asked him why and he said he wanted to be a doctor, but doesn't think he can give a kid a shot!! I thought it was cute!
I had bribed the boys with ice cream if they behaved in the Dr office and let the nurse give them their shots without any trouble! So, last night we took the kids out to dippin' dots for Ice Cream. They LOVE that place! GOOD JOB BOYS! And Aubrey just lucked out and got some ice cream too! =)

I hate seeing my kids getting their shots, it breaks my heart. I love dippin dots, the one by us closed. :(
I hate seeing my kids get shots and my nurse hates giving them to them because she likes my kids. I have never had dippin dots in my whole life. Guess I need to give them a try sometime :)
Dippin' Dots actually has a store?! We only can find them at certain venues, like baseball games or at BYU games. I love Dippin' Dots. Maybe, it's a good thing I can't find them very often.
Ahhh, shots are so hard! And I think it's funny that schools think that one day your kid is just no longer safe to let in ;)
