Summers almost gone....

I can't believe that summer is almost gone! The kids start school a week from today. Yesterday we registered Aubrey for 7th grade. It was so funny to walk in the school and have a bunch of her friends come running over to her talking about the summer! Girls that age are so funny! Aubrey was excited that she got on the same "team" as most of her friends at school, so they will be able to see each other alot! Her first elective this year will be acting. There is a musical starting in just a couple of weeks that she is thinking about trying out for, and then basketball try outs are in a couple of months.

Jaymz got the teacher he wanted. His friends from last year aren't in his class but he knows quite a few kids in his class this year. He is excited! He also started football. First practice was last night and he said he wished practice could have been longer... it was an hour and a half!!! He loves playing Football! One of his friends from church is on his team, so he is really looking forward to this season!! :)

Damon got his teacher for school. I'm not familliar with the kindergarten teachers at their school so I didn't really care who he got. She sent a letter telling a little bit about herself and she said she taught school for 18 years in Louisiana then moved here. She substituted and was a teachers aide for 3 years and then started teaching Kindergarten at our school and has been teaching kindergarten here for 13 years now!! So, she has been around the block! Hopefully she and Damon will work well together! I think he definitely needs a teacher that is going to be a little strict and not let him get away with a lot or he will walk all over her! I think it will be a good year!

The PTA asked me to be over publicity for our school, so I will be collecting information from teachers and staff and then submitting them to the newspapers and mewdia around town. I've never done publicity and don't really know what I'm doing but they assured me it wouldn't be a big deal and I would do fine... so, we'll see!! That should keep me a little busy and keep me in the know of what the school is doing! I guess I really am moving on to my new phase of life with no kids at home all day!!!

James is doing well! He is LOVING work! He has stayed in the top 10 districts in the company (out of 99) all year and is proud of that! He has about 20 stores that he is over and loves coaching and mentoring the managers and staff! He is working toward becoming a regional vice president so we think we are settled here for a couple of years! We will see though- :)

That's about it for us! Hope everyone had or is having a great summer!!!

PS Damon has lost 2 teeth in the last month

wow Damon, if you lose your top teeth you won't be able to talk to any of the kids in your class. You better slow down with that!! You look cute though!
